Classic Rock Society News (Updated 09/04)

Following Martin Hudson’s decision to step down as Managing Director and Editor of the magazine, the Classic Rock Society is pleased to announce that Miles Bartaby will be taking over these roles. Miles joined the CRS in 1995 and has been a regular at the gigs in Rotherham ever since. He became a director in September 2007, and together with fellow director Steve Tomlin has been involved in organising CRS gigs in other parts of the UK.

In recognition of his hard work over the last 18 years Rick Wakeman suggested that Martin Hudson take over from him as Honorary President. In turn Rick also suggested that the CRS have a list of celebrity rock Patrons and we are pleased to announce that Rick is to become one such Patron along with Carl Palmer, Steve Hackett, Rod Argent, Fish and John Wetton (added 09/04).

Kris Hudson-Lee has also stepped down as a director but will continue as our Gig Day Technical Coordinator.

Chairman Toby Horton, and remaining directors Bernard Law, Dave Cousins and Steve Tomlin will carry on in their current roles. The magazine and gigs will continue as normal.

Unfortunately we have had a few problems with the website since the failure of Lycos, and www.classicrocksociety.net has not been available. However, the site is still accessible at http://theclassicrocksociety.blogspot.com/

We hope that everyone will continue to support live music and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Excellent news! Hope not too many were put off by Martin's resignation plus the loss of the website!
Many thanks to Martin for his sterling work through the years.
Long may the CRS continue!
